Whom Do We Serve?

The West Suburban Community Pantry is an emergency food pantry serving the community by feeding the hungry and sharing resources to improve the quality of life.

USDA Food PyramidIn addition to non-perishable food items, all our clients receive eggs, milk, cheese, margarine, produce, and frozen meat. We seek to provide all that is needed for a well-balanced diet, although we recognize that our food is only meant to supplement, not provide all household needs for the month. In addition to those basic needs, we also supply personal care items, baby supplies, and school supplies. We also try to make holidays a little more special at Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter (see our Calendar page for more information).

The Pantry serves residents of the DuPage County area who are in need, and who meet the Federal Income Guidelines posted in the pantry. These guidelines are issued annually, and vary depending on the number of people in the household.

All clients are treated with respect and utmost confidentiality.
